On December 4th the 2017 Fashion Awards were held the Royal Albert Hall in London where red-carpet personalities displayed their incredible looks.
“It was a great way to celebrate fashion icons,” Niroshini Mather (11) said.
The spectacular event was hosted by Karlie Kloss, a stunning model, and Jack Whitehall, a successful comedian. The Fashion Awards supported BFC’s pledge to raise £10 million in 10 years to provide education for young people. Models were nominated for honourable categories such as Model of the Year, Designer of the Year, Business Leader, Urban Luxe Brand, and many more.
“Model of the Year” was won by Adwoa Aboah, a British model and activist. The impressive title of “Designer of the Year” was received by Raf Simons. The “Style Icon” title was awarded to Donatella Versace. and the “Urban Luxe Brand” award was gifted to Off-White.
The “Swarovski Award for Positive Change” was given to Maria Grazia Chiuri, a feminist as well as a fashionista. Maria combines her commitment to female empowerment with true creative magic to produce stunning fashion pieces.
“The feminist movement that has been mine for the longest time has finally struck a resonant chord in society, and this recognition sends a powerful message to all women battling on a daily basis.” said Maria Grazia Chiuri.
