The Varsity Girl’s basketball team has just finished their season. With three-pointers from every angle and great defence, the team was able to win 4 games this season, falling short to St. Brother Andre by 8 points.
After coming back from the pandemic, the girls played strong, starting off their first game of the season with a three-pointer from number 3, Cady Su. “It felt surprising especially since I thought it was going to be an air ball” The pointguard, Adeogo Oni (number 5), blocked and stole the ball every chance she got.
The STR crowd did not disappoint with their presence, cheering and yelling every second for the victory of their home team! Bernice Li who was in the crowd every home game said, “It felt sensational being in the stands with everyone else. We all wanted STR to win so it was fun cheering or booing during the game.”
Though the team was not able to win all their games and continue playing in playoffs, the girls still did an amazing job! May the girls continue to strive in the following years. GO RAMS!
