There are many Christmas movies with distinct characteristics. Few of the moves include The Small One, Home Alone, and Ernest Saves Christmas.
The Small One
If one wants to watch a short heartwarming film, I personally recommend The Small One.
Overview: The Small One is a movie set in Israel where a small Hebrew boy is forced to sell the Small One, his donkey, in the market. The boy eventually sells it to none other than Joseph.
Summary: Although the boy loved the Small One, his father tells him to sell this donkey for one silver because the donkey was old, weak and provided little help to the family. The next day at the market, only the tanner wanted his donkey, but the boy wanted the donkey to live in a safe place; however, as time went on and he could not find another buyer, he brought the donkey to the tanner’s shop. As soon as the donkey was about to be killed, a nice man, named Joseph, came up to him and asked if the donkey was still on sale. The boy then sold it to him for one silver as requested by his father.
Home Alone
If one wants to watch a comedic classic, Home Alone is a go-to.
Overview: An eight year old boy by the name of Kevin McCallister was left at home by accident, and he has to protect his home from two criminals, Marv and Harry.
Summary: The McCallister family is preparing for their trip to Paris, France; however, Kevin gets into an argument with Buzz and is forced to sleep in the attic. The next day, the McCallisters accidentally slept in and were rushing to reach the airport on time; however, Kevin was still sleeping. Thus, he was left behind, and the mother did not realize his son was left at home until the airplane was in the air. When Kevin woke up, he realized the situation and was having the time of his life. However, he soon finds out about two burglars, Marv and Harry, who were going to rob his house on Christmas Eve. He then sets out traps to protect his house and was able to prevent his house from getting robbed.
Ernest Saves Christmas
Another comedic Christmas movie is Ernest Saves Christmas
Overview: Santa travels to Florida to pass on to the next successor and retire from his job. However there are obstacles in the way, leading Ernest, a taxi driver, to become the last hope to save Christmas.
Summary: Santa travels to Orlando, Florida because he was going to pass his position to another successor, as he is too weak to do another round of Christmas. His next successor was Joe Carruthers who was loved by children. But things started to turn as Santa began to lose his memory and Jose was chosen to cast in a move which was not child friendly. Ernest; the taxi driver, was Santa’s only hope. Along with the runaway girl, Harmony Star, Ernest saves Christmas
