This year, to celebrate Halloween, STR’s Student Council held three separate events as a way of counting down to October 31st!
On the 29th, two days before Halloween, they planned a movie watch party after school in the cafeteria. Students needed to pay a small $2 fee to attend a showing of Coraline. Whether students have already seen it or it was their first time, the mysterious film was a great way to set the mood for the next two days.
On October 30th, students were able to join the Student Council in Room 112 for a game of musical chairs. The winner received a prize for their strong dedication to butt-scooching their way to victory.
The day of, a photobooth was set up outside the cafeteria. Students were encouraged to bring a toonie in order to snap a picture with their friends in their Halloween costumes and create some fun memories.
The events were ultimately a success and made for an amazing Halloween this year!
