Moana 2 , the sequel to Moana, is to come out on November 27, 2024. Adding to the anticipation of the film, two prominent actors are continuing to play their roles as Maui and Moana, the “Rock” and Auli’i Cravalho! The film was directed by Jason Hand, Dana Ledoux Miller, and David Derrick and produced by Yvett Merino and Christina Chen. In addition, the movie soundtrack will be coming from Grammy winners and nominees including Mark Mancina and Emily Bear.

This movie is set three years later. Moana and Maui meet each other once again where they would go on a new expedition, after Moana’s wayfinding ancestors gave her an unforeseen call. However, she experiences dangers as she journeys into the fear seas of Oceania.

Dwayne Johnson provides a brief summary in “Good Morning America” which is as follows: “There’s an inner voice that keeps telling her that there’s more out there. And it’s beyond the reef as she thought before but also, there’s more — especially when it comes to the culture and the islands — and you have a young lady who’s just not satisfied with what is currently happening and she does believe there’s more and she needs a little help from her demigod friend, Maui, and we go on a crazy, unbelievable adventure.”

This brief overview is a quick peek into this upcoming film which will make its debut at the end of November.
