“It’s all about love!”

Many people think that Valentine’s Day is only about kissing and romance, but that isn’t all what this holiday represents.

Valentine’s Day, celebrated annually on February 14th, is a holiday dedicated to love, affection, and appreciation for all who matter most to you. Originating from ancient Roman traditions and later associated with St. Valentine, a Christian martyr, the day has evolved into a global celebration of not only romantic love, but also friendship and kindness. So whether you’re spending the day with a significant other, friends, or family, Valentine’s Day is the time to show your gratitude and care for them. Our school’s student council Valentine’s Day fundraiser, in particular, is a great way to spread the love, where during lunch periods you can buy roses that can be sent to friends, teachers, and crushes.

So, whether you’re celebrating romance or friendship, grab a rose or simply tell someone how much you appreciate them because it’s the perfect time to cherish the people who make life brighter!
