On Monday, December 14, St. Robert’s Junior Boys Basketball team competed against Thornlea Secondary School as they played their second home game of the season. Although they played the game with much determination and effort, our boys unfortunately lost to the opponent 59-38.
During the season, the basketball team has shown a lot of hard work both at games and practices. Determined to gain the championship title at the end of the season, the boys knew they had to work together as a team towards their goal. They definitely showed teamwork during the game on December 1 against Father Michael Mcgivney when they won 49-46. What a big highlight of the season! With a total of six games played so far, the team currently stands in fourth place with four wins and two losses.
Their last game of the regular season will be on February 4 when the boys travel to Richmond Green. We wish you the best of luck in semester two and hopefully the playoffs!
