Being Thankful

Kenley Ho (12) – STAFF REPORTER

It’s Thanksgiving so it’s time to reflect on what I am grateful for.

I am greatly thankful for my hardworking parents, who always provide me with what I need in order to be successful, happy, and alive. When I am hungry, there is food in the fridge. When I am bored, there is television and technology to entertain me. I have access to all these things because of my parents.

I am also grateful for the country I live in. Unlike many parts of the world, Canada is accepting of different cultures, religions, races, and so on. We have rights and freedom, free healthcare, and accessibility to many services and products. Education is open to everyone and the overall quality of life in Canada is great.

Thanksgiving is not the only time we are allowed to be thankful but we should be appreciative for the things we have every day.
