On Thursday, January 3, 2019, the Toronto Raptors played against the San Antonio Spurs for the first time this 2018-2019 season. This was a crucial game after the trade that happened last year between Demar DeRozan and Kawhi Leonard.
The San Antonio Spurs were winning drastically by around 20 points in the first three quarters, ending with 107 to 125 as the final score. Demar DeRozan had a triple-double with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists with 33 minutes of playing time.
It was an emotional game experiencing Demar, who was the face of the Toronto Raptors, playing against his once-beloved team. The next time they will face each other is on February 22, 2019. It will mark the first time Demar Derozan returns back to Toronto following the trade.
