Trading recently ended in the NBA for the season, and the Raptors definitely took advantage of the time they had. They’ve added Jeremy Lin and Marc Gasol, who both seem to be fitting into the team quite well.

The Raptors first traded away Jonas Valanciunas, Delon Wright, CJ Miles, and a second-round pick in 2024 to the Memphis Grizzlies for Marc Gasol. The Raptors then acquired Jeremy Lin from the Atlanta Hawks. Lin came in at the perfect time to replace the departing Delon Wright. Additionally, Fred VanVleet, one of the Raptors’ point guards, is out with a thumb injury so this became a prime moment for him to come. While he did only have 30 minutes to prepare for his first game in Toronto against Washington after signing, he still managed to perform, playing 25 minutes, making 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 8 points. Gasol also played that game, for 19 minutes, and he managed 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 7 points.

At the moment, the Raptors future is looking very bright.
