Meet Your Reporter: Madura Muraleetharan

Hey everyone! I am Madura Muraleetharan a new creative writer for The Axiom.

In addition to that title, I am also a grade 11 IB student. To be completely honest, IB is not as horrific as it seems, but to be fair it is only September. My favourite subject is history, but whether that be because of the teacher or the subject itself, it is something that I am going to leave open-ended.

Outside of school, I do track and field year round. I used to compete in hurdles and shot put but cut them out to focus more on discus and hammer throw. Practices can be long and painful, and meets can be stressful, but in some odd corner of my mind, it is all worth it.

When I have free time, what I do with it really depends on my mood. Mainly, I like to bike, run, read, bake, online window shop, listen to my 70s/80s jams, and watch stand-up comedy routines. I also like to play the piano and, if there’s nobody at home, sing. These activities keep me grounded and less stressed out because they assure me that I’m living my life for me.

I’m ready and willing to do my part to make this year’s publications of the Axiom compelling and dynamic. I’m sure this year will prove to be an exceptional one.
