On March 7, 2018, over 250 St.Robert students and staff members participated in the first Inside Ride event in the large gym. The Inside Ride is Canada’s first indoor cycling challenge and fundraising event dedicated to raising money in support of children with cancer and their families. St. Robert raised $21 060 for Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation, surpassing its goal of $15 000. During the one-hour event, each of the six riders from the thirty-nine teams rode their bicycles for ten minutes. While the students and staff members rode on the bicycles, team members cheered from the sidelines. Maggie Li (9), a rider for the Social Justice Warriors, confessed that her throat was sore after the event. Her team eventually won the best team spirit award. Volunteers were also on hand to pass out snacks such as granola bars in order to keep the participants energized.

At the end of the Inside Ride, awards were given to the teams with the best costume, best team spirit, most mileage, and most money raised. The best team spirit award went to the Social Justice Warriors while the Jersey Boys won the most mileage award. There were two teams that received the most money raised award. The Tootie Frooties was the top student team while the Rams 1 was the top adult team. An award was also given out to the student and the adult who raised the most money. Raising over $500 to support her ride, Lydia Zhang (10) was the student recipient of this award. Nigel Cole was the adult recipient of the award as he raised over $2000 to support his ride.
