On August 31, 2023, the One Piece live action series made its global premiere on Netflix. The new fantasy adventure series, developed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda, is a live-action adaptation of the manga series One Piece by Eiichiro Oda, and has been loved by critics and fans alike. The live-action series had a bigger global opening on Netflix than hit shows Wednesday and Stranger Things season 4. In its first five weeks on the streaming service, One Piece earned 430 million hours and after 10 weeks has more than 475 million hours viewed with 63.6 million viewers, all of which have watched all 8 episodes of the series from top to bottom. 16 year old TikTok star, Charli D’Amelio, hits 100 million followers on TikTok, making her the first person ever to reach 100 million followers on the app. In March 2020, D’Amelio became the most followed TikTok star in the world with over 45 million followers and her fame continued to grow rapidly in 2020, gaining over 50 million followers in one year.  read more
