A two-time Olympic medalist, 7-time nominee for FIFA World Player of the Year, and 14-time winner of the Canada Soccer Player of the Year, Sinclair’s impact is felt all over the world of sports. As a highly accomplished athlete, Sinclair is the captain of the Canadian Women National Soccer team and the Portland Thorns FC in the National Women’s Soccer League.

Introduction
The Summer Olympic Games are a major international multi-sport event held once every four years. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the event was postponed for the first time in history to 2021. With the pandemic having killed over two million individuals worldwide, many people are skeptical whether the Olympics will be held.

On January 13, 2021, the NHL began a 56 games marathon for its regular season. The NHL plans to begin playoffs around early May, with the Stanley Cup being awarded at the latest in July.

On February 8th to 21st, the 2021 Australian Open will be taking place in Melbourne Park. The Australian Open is the first of four Grand Slam tennis events held each year.
Hello St. Robs! My name is Elizabeth Chen, and I am proud to be part of The Axiom once again as a reporter for the sports section. Currently, I am a pre-IB student in grade 10.

On November 23, 2019, St. Robert’s annual IB entrance exams for grade 8 students was held at Le Parc. Over 750 students from all over York Region participated. Registration started as early as 7:30 am with the test beginning promptly at 8:45 am.

On Thursday, October 31, 2019, St Robert held its annual Halloween celebration with many fun-filled activities. One of them being the pumpkin decorating contest.

From September 20th to 21st, over 400 grade nine students went on an overnight orientation field trip to Camp Olympia in Huntsville, Ontario.
