Beginning of a Journey: Camp Olympia Trip

From September 20th  to 21st, over 400 grade nine students went on an overnight orientation field trip to Camp Olympia in Huntsville, Ontario. 

Students participated in a variety of activities including rock climbing, climbing high ropes, going on the Giant Swing, and participating in group activities such as King’s Gold and Minute to Win it. Students even got the chance to go on the zip line. The Grade 9 dance was held at the end of the first day.

Camp Olympia is a renowned, dynamic, upbeat, world-class camp allowing campers from all over the world to have a unique experience. The purpose of this trip was to allow students to get to know one another better and have fun while making lasting friendships. 

Kyla Cuesta (9) attended the trip and said, “Camp Olympia was a great experience that helped me to make new friends in a new school.” Many of the students loved the trip and thought it was a great way to build a sense of community both at camp Olympia and at St Roberts.
