French Week, organized by St. Robert’s very own French Council, recently made its return during the week of March 27th.
French week was filled with many amazing activities that introduced students to the various advantages and joys of the French language. On Monday, French Council hosted a half-day workshop, entitled “Pourquoi parler français/Why speak French?” featuring guest speaker Stephen Teong, a St. Robert alumna and current Glendon student, as well as a French-themed photo booth. Tuesday and Wednesday was filled with French cuisine, supplied by Nella’s as well as the French Baking club. Additionally, a Kahoot game, which informed students about French/Francophone culture, was held in the cafeteria during all three lunches. The week ended with a French-themed civies, during which everyone was encouraged to wear blue, red and/or white, as well as French face painting.
