On Tuesday, October 3rd, the St. Robert varsity boys soccer team played a home game against Thornlea Secondary School. It was a triumphant game for the boys as they were victorious by a score of 2-1.

The varsity girls basketball team started their season five weeks ago and have played up to 5 games so far. Their most recent home game on Monday, October 16, was an unfortunate loss of of 20-26. The girls have faced vigorous opponents such as Thornhill Secondary School, and proved their strength and power with a victorious score of 48-44. They have also faced other tenacious teams like Richmond Green Secondary School, Markham District, and Thornlea Secondary School, all of which proved to be undefeatable.
The Toronto Raptors are an overall generally good team, but this season (before the all-star game) they had done quite worse than usual. Their defense hadn’t been the best it could have been. Following the all-star game, the Raptors started to up their game as they beat the Boston Celtics 107-97.
It was a great home game success for the Senior Girls Basketball team as they managed to win their game against Unionville High School! The Rams were able to come up on top, winning by 1 point.

On January 16, 2017, St. Robert’s Night Flyers Ski Club went on their very first trip of the school year to Horseshoe Valley where they enjoyed an evening – and night- of skiing on the variety of hills the resort offers.
Katherine Guo, a grade nine student commented on the trip. She said, “It was a great experience making new friends, and having so much freedom skiing. The most enjoyable part for me was when we would all sit and talk on the lifts.” She also commented that it was cool to ski at night but the dark made it more difficult to see and tell the depth of the hills.

The Toronto FC had an amazing season this year, managing to make it to the finals for the first time ever. The team competed for the MLS Cup in December 2016. Games were held in front of the home crowd in Toronto at the BMO Field, and they competed against their opponents in Montreal and Seattle.
It’s here again. This year, the amazing St. Robert Soccer Intramurals was hosted yet again and after weeks of competing, one team was victorious. Here is the journey of this year’s Soccer Intramurals.
