This year, St. Robert’s Chaplaincy Council has organized the Christmas Weaving Baskets event. For this event, students have been asked to donate certain items according to their grade. All donations will be made to the Richmond Hill Food Bank, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Holiday Helpers and 360 kids!
Students in St Roberts will be donating a variety of items. Grade nine students have been asked to donate non-perishable foods such as uncooked pasta, canned foods, dried goods and more. These types of items will be donated to those who are less fortunate and cannot afford to purchase enough food to make full meals. Grade ten students will be donating sanitary products such as hand sanitizer, toiletry products, shampoo and more. Grade eleven students will be bringing gift cards from stores such as grocery stores, clothing shops and more. The grade twelve students have been asked to donate unopened toys. These items can be used to prepare for the holidays as toys can be given as gifts and gift cards can be used to purchase presents.
In order to prepare for the holiday season, the Chaplaincy Council has put together a very thoughtful event to provide for those in need. Overall, this is a wonderful opportunity for students at St. Robert to donate what they can within the community.
