Since its release on November 5th, Eternals has crossed uncharted territories for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

Chinese-born director Chloé Zhao is the first woman of Asian descent, and an Academy Award winner to direct a Marvel movie. Eternals is also the first Marvel movie to portray an openly gay character, played by actor Bryan Tyree Henry. As well as the first Marvel movie to portray an openly hard-of-hearing character, played by Lauren Ridloff. 

Diversity is a very important factor in the media, but it is often disregarded. However, with this movie, diversity has been placed at the forefront of publicity. Regardless of opinions on the content of the movie, its factors of representation are unprecedented in the MCU.
