After the qualifying round on October 1 to be in the championship, St. Robert Varsity Girls golf team was second to Newmarket and down 20 strokes.
The girls practiced for hours at the driving range with the determination to beat Newmarket after losing to them in the 2014 competition. With their game faces on, St. Robert girls came back on October 6 to the Cardinal Golf Club in Newmarket, giving it their all, and finishing first in the YRAA championship division out of 55 competitors. The lady Rams reached their goal and beat Newmarket by 11 strokes in the championship course.
