Meet Your Reporter: Cordelia Liu

Cordelia Liu (11) | STAFF REPORTER

Hello St. Robs. My name is Cordelia Liu and I’ll be one of the writers in the sports and entertainment section. I decided to join The Axiom because I thought it would be the perfect way for me to network with others as well as improve my writing. Since I am new to this school, I found it difficult to network and meet people I have never interacted with before. In addition, I personally believe my writing is not my greatest strength.  but I want to get better at expressing myself. So by joining The Axiom,  I think it would be an excellent opportunity to get involved with the school community and get better at writing.

Some of my strengths and hobbies are drawing, cooking, playing the piano, and playing sports. I have enjoyed drawing ever since I was in kindergarten and I haven’t stopped since then. When COVID started I moved from traditional art to digital art, which also inspired me to draw in manga-like art styles. I have read a lot of comics and manga since then, and I even considered creating one. But I have found this difficult since I’m not confident in expressing myself. I believe by joining the Axiom, it could help me grow in self expression so I could tell stories better.

Furthermore, some other hobbies that have impacted me the most are piano and sports. I’ve been learning piano since I was 4 years old. Despite not being particularly good, I found it enjoyable to play songs I liked on the piano, which is similar to the reason I draw. Some sports I play are badminton and tennis. I used to be a part of the badminton club in my previous school,  and I have done extracurricular badminton training as well. I think badminton helped me develop some confidence and allowed me to connect with others as well.

This is my first year in Axiom and I’ll be looking forward to meeting you all.
