Meet Your Reporter: Lancy Wang

Lancy Wang (9) | STAFF REPORTER

Hey St. Robs! My name is Lancy Wang, a pre-IB student here (though I’m still trying to figure out how I made it in). On a brighter note, I’m thrilled to be one of your school events reporters this year! Since I was young, I’ve been drawn to all things literature, and I’m always excited to be involved in school activities and contribute to our community.

A bit about me: I have a deep passion for reading and writing, maybe a bit too deep—I’ve definitely stayed up until 3 a.m., not because of homework, but because the book I was reading was just too good to put down. When I’m not buried in a novel or contemplating about life, I’m probably playing piano (although, let’s be honest, it’s not always by choice), doodling creepy misshapen stick figures, or out on the basketball court (again, not by choice, but at least my father is happy about that).

Dance has also become a huge part of my life. I spend hours each week at different studios, practising and performing in a variety of dance styles, including ballet, modern, contemporary, Chinese cultural dance, and the most painful and challenging—acrobatics. It’s extremely exhausting but so rewarding, and I can’t imagine my life without it.

That’s enough yapping about me for now, looking forward to having a great year with the Axiom, and hopefully, I’ll see you next time!
