From November 19th to the 21st, the student leaders of St. Robert CHS clubs and councils were given the opportunity to participate in the Muskoka Woods Leadership Retreat.
On this overnight trip, the students participated in many activities, including making trebuchets, playing strategy games, participating in campfires while roasting marshmallows, and even their own version of Shark Tank where students would pitch their own entrepreneurial ideas and get judged by none other than Mr. Servidio himself.
The leadership program at Muskoka Woods is well-recognized by many schools and school boards and has also received global recognition. The purpose of this trip was to inspire and develop leadership in the students of St. Robs to continue to foster team-building, communication, and resiliency skills.
The whole retreat was based on the seven cornerstones of teamwork by the Eagles Flight. Joshua Duho Kim (12) attended the trip and said “It was awesome. We had a fun bus ride there and back, but between, we learned a lot about teamwork and leadership.”
