On October 28, 2021, Arts Council held its annual Halloween Decorating Contest. In this contest, different classes decorated pumpkins, and the student body picked their favorite pumpkin by voting through a Google Form. The willing class would receive candy.
This year, eight classes decorated pumpkins which were later displayed in the front foyer. The themes for these pumpkins included Corpse Bride, Winnie-the-Pooh, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Lorax, Venom, Mickey & Minnie Mouse, and Up. After the votes were counted, it was announced that the Lorax-themed pumpkin, decorated by Ms. Lafrate’s class, won.
Over 300 students participated in this event, making it a great success. This fun way of celebrating Halloween has become a tradition at St. Robert. I can’t wait to see what next year’s pumpkins will look like!
