St. Robert’s Arts Council held an exciting Pumpkin Decorating Contest on October 31st that inspired both inventiveness and spooky style. Homerooms submitted some very haunting ideas for this year’s contest, which had the theme as “Horror Movie Characters or Movie Characters with a Horrorful Twist!”
The Joker, Beetlejuice, and Perry the Platypus were among the pumpkins, each with a unique and unnerving flair. However, with more than half of the votes, the Perry the Platypus pumpkin was the star of the show. Perry the Platypus, with a frankenstein twist, was a fan favourite, demonstrating how even the most innocent characters can get a darker touch when given a little Halloween magic.
The competition was a great success, showcasing the students’ extraordinary talent and creativity. Congratulations to the Arts Council for putting on such a wonderful, festive event and to all of the competitors for their spooky masterpieces!
