February 13, Real Madrid competed against RB Leipzig in the UEFA championship league, winning 1-0.

Real Madrid, 14-time Champions league winners, faced German football club RB Leipzig last Tuesday. Braham Diaz, Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder, scores a beautiful goal that secures the win for the team.

The game begins with Leipzig’s supposed goal after 2 minutes. However, to Leipzig’s disappointment, the goal was ruled out as offside. After the game, Marco Rose, manager of RB Leipzig, speaks out about the goal. Rose compliments the team for the “courageous performance…with a goal after two minutes that I think should have counted.”

Carlos Ancelotti responds to Rose’s complaint, saying that, “what I understood is that the opponent interferes with Lunin, pushes him, and it’s a pretty clear offside.”

In the second half of the match, Braham took his chances and scored an impressive shot in the top corner of the goal.

“I’m an instinctive player,“ Braham discusses, “But I did look up, I saw Vinicius Junior’s position, I thought about passing but took the decision to shoot and it paid off.”

Upon taking control of the ball, Braham fakes one way and moves past the several players. Braham faces the defensive players from Leipzig, but boldly takes his shot anyway.

“As soon as I started to move I sensed that the defenders were wary of diving in, that they were backing off. I’m happy to have helped with the goal…we are still a good team, that we are Real Madrid” Braham says in a post-game interview.

Real Madrid, winning all seven games in the UEFA games, are setting their highest winning streak. Despite taking home a loss, RB Leipzig has attempted nine shots in the game, in comparison to Madrid’s three.

Real Madrid holds a promising future in their career, standing currently #1 in ranking in their UEFA group. Renowned French football player, Kylian Mbappe, is also planning to join Real Madrid this summer, raising attention amongst soccer fans.
