Last week, STR’s Student Athletic Council was back with another SAC Spirit Week!
From Monday, March 24, to Thursday, March 27, the Student Athletic Council (SAC) ran a series of exciting events in which students competed to earn SAC dollars. These dollars could be exchanged for prizes at the annual volleyball buyout on Friday, March 28.
The first day of SAC Spirit Week brought a game of Sports Emoji Kahoot; Tuesday and Wednesday followed with ping pong matches and obstacle courses, respectively; and Thursday welcomed students wearing jerseys and colours in support of their favourite teams and athletes. Finally, SAC brought the week to a close by holding its yearly volleyball buyout with two games, one of girls vs. boys and another of students vs. teachers. Students who had collected SAC dollars also had the opportunity to purchase prizes from an assortment of items, including crochet figurines, plush toys, shoe charms, and more.
