Olivia Rodrigo announced her SOUR world tour for 2022. Her touring started on April 2nd and will end on May 25th. This album put Olivia’s music career on the map, as she has already had several Grammy nominations and some wins, including Best New Artist, Album of the Year, and Record and Song of the Year. Her world tour is set to hit multiple destinations, including San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Toronto, Chicago, New York, Washington, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.
Olivia invited three artists to join her on stage. For the first half of her North American tour, Gracie Abrams will be joining. In the second half, she will be joined by Holly Humberstone, and in her European and U.K. shows, she will be joined by Baby Queen. These three artists will support Olivia during her first world tour. As of now, all of her venues have been fully sold out.
The three artists to join Olivia on tour were not the only special guest appearances we have had so far. On April 29th, she surprised her Torontonian crowd with a special appearance of Avril Lavigne, who sang her classic teen bop “Complicated”. Fans were so excited to see this collaboration on stage, as they enthusiastically posted clips all over social media. Avril Lavigne was not the only surprise guest she had on her tour. On the Vancouver date of Olivia’s world tour, she invited Conan Gray on stage with her to perform a cover of Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away”. The pair performed an acoustic version of Katy’s hit single in the sold-out venue. Olivia has already surprised us with so many guest appearances on her tour, and seeing how her touring has not yet ended, we expect to see many more great shows to come.
