Thanks to the Student Athletic Council (SAC), the holiday spirit is in full spring at St. Robert. This festive season, SAC was delighted to announce the launch of their Candy Grams initiative, spreading joy and sweetness while also contributing to a cause.
Having started on December 13th, students were able to purchase Candy Grams for their friends during all three lunch periods outside the cafeteria. For just $1 each or 5 for $7, students could send a sweet surprise to their friends and classmates. Each Candy Gram comes complete with a candy cane and a personalized card, adding a thoughtful touch to the holiday treats.
The sweetest thing about the event, however, is found in its charitable cause: SAC decided that all proceeds from the Candy Gram sales were to be directed towards the Right To Play international charity. The organization is committed to ensuring that underpriveleged and differently-abled children have the opportunity to engage in sports that promote health and well-being.
The Candy Grams will be delivered to the recipients’ homerooms on December 21st, just in time to add an extra dose of cheer before the Winter Break.
