The 2025 Juno Awards

The Juno Awards, or the Junos, are awards presented by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to recognize outstanding achievements in Canada’s music industry. The American equivalent are the Grammys. The Junos and the Canadian Screen Awards are considered to be one of the main annual Canadian entertainment award shows, with new members of the Canadian Hall of Fame making appearances as well.

In 2025, the Juno Awards were hosted on March 30, 2025, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, hosted by Michael Bublé. Announced on February 11, 2025, Josh Ross and Tate McRae were the most nominated artists, both having five nominations each.

The build up to the 2025 awards was marked by controversy in 2024. It was reported by the media that the Juno committee was planning to discontinue several categories, including Reggae Recording of the Year, Children’s Album of the Year, Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year and International Album of the Year. The decision was met with heavy criticism, causing the committee to backtrack on the decision only eight days after it was first proposed.
