The Axiom’s Alter Ego: Rams Media Club

Trevor Wu (11) | STAFF REPORTER

Some might say the Axiom is more of an unusual club, different from the rest. While most clubs dabble in their specialties and mind their own business, we stick our heads in all the events at school. Another aspect specializing us is our club’s public service, while other groups may host school events from time to time, our system is based on dishing out content for readers.

Although the Axiom has its history, it might have to compete for its spot soon. The newly established RMC or Rams Media Club is a team dedicated to many of the things we do, report on events in our school community, share different perspectives of the school, and inform students about other clubs. However, as the name suggests, all of this is done through various forms of media art, such as photography, videography, digital arts, ect. I believe this will be a very successful selling point as most of the world’s media and attention continues to be shifted towards short form videos and overall digital communication

The RMC’s teacher advisor is Ms. Laviolette., and the club hosts meetings biweekly on Tuesdays, each time teaching a new aspect of digital arts. Club members utilize their newfound skills by helping create different media forms that promote the school, such as video summaries of school events, or a photo gallery for ceremonies, and they even take commissions to film commercials for other clubs! To find out more about RMC, you can visit their website ramsmediaclub.ca, check out their instagram @ramsmediaclub, or join their Google Classroom with the code “bcausn2”. Do you think the Rams Media Club will overtake the Axiom as the top media provider of STR?
