On Tuesday, November 17th the Senior Girls Basketball Team wrapped up their long season by winning the YRAA Championship title for the second year in a row with their 49-40 victory over the Langstaff Bears.
The goal for the girls since the start of the season was to achieve the same success they had last year. With a special squad consisting of a mix of returning seniors and talented grade 11s, they knew they had to practice hard on the court almost each and everyday. Their hard work definitely paid off in the end, as they capped off their regular season with an impressive undefeated record. Fabulous teamwork could be seen from all players during the course of the past few weeks. The team captains, Brianna I. (12) and Christina C. (12), truly exemplified great leadership in guiding the team to the top. With much determination, the team was able to finish off their their special season on high note with a championship victory.
