HBO’s The White Lotus returned for its highly anticipated third season on February 16, 2025, consisting of 8 episodes and following the lives of the wealthy guests and staff at a luxurious, wellness resort in Thailand. The new season expands on themes of wealth, spirituality, and power dynamics, as creator Mike White wanted to invoke a “satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality”.
With a new ensemble cast, including Jason Isaacs, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, and Lalisa Manoban, the season introduces a new set of privileged guests whose vacations quickly take unexpected turns. Notably, Natasha Rothwell revisits her role as Belinda from Season 1.
The premiere episode, Same Spirits, New Forms, introduced a mix of wealthy travelers navigating the resort’s grand yet ominous atmosphere. The season’s debut drew 2.4 million viewers, surpassing its previous premieres, and has already sparked much speculation about its central mystery.
