On March 12th and March 15th, the Grade 11 IB students of St. Robert participated in a virtual field trip to work with a librarian from the University of Toronto Scarborough Library. They were introduced to several researching tools and methods, which would be especially useful for writing the Extended Essay.

The University of Toronto is the home of the largest academic library in Canada, including a large database for online resources. Students who participated in the field trip were introduced to this database, as well as a few others. They were also taught ways to effectively find online resources, which is an especially important skill at a time when access to physical libraries is limited.
