This year the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) will be held on November 24th and 27th for all Grade 10 students who have English in semester one. Those who do not have English this semester will be taking the test spring of 2024.
The OSSLT will take place on a Friday for the reading section and a Monday for the writing section. Students will get 65 minutes for Friday and 75 minutes for Monday. Those with IEP or ESL will be writing in a separate room that is yet to be determined at period 1 on both days.
Period 1, 2, and 3 English Students will write during their regularly scheduled English periods. Period 4 English students will write during Period 3.
Students are expected to review the practice test and bring or memorize the OEN number found on their report card through Maplewood to log into the test.
