Offset and Cardi B has had a rollercoaster relationship, from January 2017 to the present.
The pair first met in January of 2017, when they collaborated on a song called “Lick.” They secretly married in September, confirmed by Cardi nearly one year later. Offset proposed to Cardi onstage in October 2017 in front of a sold-out crowd. He gave her an eight-carat diamond ring, she said yes, and it looked like a fairy tale.
However, their bliss didn’t last long. In December of that year, cheating rumours involving Offset surfaced. His iCloud was hacked and footage of him with another woman surfaced. One month later another cheating rumour came out. Both Offset and Cardi denied the infidelity. 2018 proved to be a rocky year for the couple. Soon a woman claimed that she gave birth to Offset’s child and asked for parental support but later admitted that she lied.
On July 10, 2018, Cardi gave birth to her first child with Offset named Kulture Kiari Cephus.
On December 5, Cardi posted a video to Instagram stating that she broke up with Offset and that she will seek a divorce. However, the video remains positive. Cardi says, “And we are really good friends and we are really good business partners—and you know he’s always somebody that I run to to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other, but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.”
