This year on November 15th, the Social Justice Council hosted an event called ‘A Sandwich or Two’. Students were divided into sections so that they can put together sandwiches. Although it seems like a small act, it created a huge impact not only for the people volunteering, but also to people outside of the school community.

A grade 9 volunteer at St. Robert Catholic High School, Viana, stated, “The ‘A Sandwich or Two’ event was a great way for students to earn volunteer hours, and help our society.”
In the end, St. Robert’s was able to create more than 400 sandwiches. These sandwiches contributed greatly to our community because they were sent to people facing homelessness.
