Eighty days to Beijing, and Canadian Olympians are kicking it into high gear.
The NBA season is well underway, and the Raptors have… confused us. Despite having 7 wins and 7 losses, the Raptors have had some questionable losses early in the season. Recently the Raptors lost to Cavaliers, Celtics, and Pistons. All of these teams have worse records, or have significant players missing from their teams.
Maggie Mac Neil is a Canadian triple Olympic medallist from her groundbreaking debut at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. Her achievements include a gold medal from the Women’s 100m butterfly, a silver medal from the Women’s 4x100m freestyle relay, as well as a bronze medal from the Women’s 4x100m medley relay. Maggie’s new accolades caught the attention of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), which led to her winning the “Best Female Athlete of Tokyo 2020 Award” in the Creta Maris Beach Resort in Crete, Greece on Sunday, October 24, 2021.
Just like that, the NHL is back in action.
The National Hockey League announced that Tuesday, October 12 will be the start of the 2021-2022 season. Players will be competing against the 31 teams over the course of the next seven months. Unlike the last two seasons that were cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this season is a full 82-game regular season.

The last time the Canadian men’s soccer team qualified for the FIFA World Cup was in 1986. This year, the Canadian men’s soccer team has a once-in-a-lifetime chance to qualify for the World Cup.
