During the weeks leading up to Halloween, there were several fun activities and contests hosted by our school councils. One of the more notable one was the pumpkin decorating contest.
This contest was hosted by St. Robert’s Arts Council, and the winner received candy! Each period 2 class was given a pumpkin that they could decorate (paint, add elements, etc.), but carving them was prohibited. Classes came up with several creative ideas including pirates, Ananas from the French show Téléfrançais, a lion created using candy corn, Mike Wazowski, and several more!
The winning pumpkin was created by Ms. Sawicka’s 2nd period robotics class. They made a metallic robot pumpkin, and included LED lights that read “Happy Halloween”.
Ultimately, classes had a fun time decorating pumpkins, and I can’t wait to see what new, and creative ideas classes will come up with next year!
