The St. Robert CHS Boys Hockey Team recently kicked off their season with four successive games against teams across York Region. They’ve stormed into the season with a series of resounding matches, both victories and losses, showcasing their prowess on the ice.
Following a successful meeting on October 26 to assemble their team, the Rams had their first game on November 3rd. They delivered an outstanding performance, resulting in an impressive 11-0 win in Clatworthy Arena against Markville High School. It was evident that the team worked to function as a unit and all members contributed to their success. Players demonstrated a remarkable understanding of the game, executing precise passes, solid defense, and capitalising on scoring opportunities.
Although their game against Markham District was not as successful, the third game of their season occurred on November 15 against Markville High School in Centennial Arena, and the team pulled through to win the game 7-1. Their dedication to refining their skills and playing as a team has undoubtedly been a key factor in their triumphant start to the season.
As they progress through the season with a 2-1 record, the school community eagerly anticipates further news as the Rams continue to compete and strive for success on the hockey rink.
