ROOM 118 is where all the magic happens. One of the most influential councils present at St. Robert is the Student Council. Composed of students and teachers, they devote a long period of time every Monday after school to bring events together for the student body.
Student Council (STUCO) is composed of seven executives, sixteen grade reps, and three teachers, all of whom work together to pitch in ideas for upcoming events.
“Students should really look forward to annual, traditional events and new events that we are bringing to St. Robert,” says Martha K. (12). Currently, they are preparing for the Halloween Spirit Week and Hallowgrams, which has been an annual event for the past years.
Although there are many voices at a STUCO meeting, the executives make sure that every grade rep is heard and accounted for. Cooperation and organization is key when it comes to putting events together, whether it be the upcoming Halloween Spirit Week or the anticipated Semi-Formal. Every STUCO member commits a vast amount of time to generate ideas for events that will interest the student body and pledge the same amount of time, if not more, to present the event to you in all of its perfection.
“It’ll be lots of fun,” Isabel P. (12) says when asked about the Hallowgrams. “It’s like a telegram from Sound of Music but Candygram,” Isabel P. explains. Any student can buy a Hallowgram for $1.00 and send assorted candy to their friends.
Look forward to exciting events coming to St. Robert brought to you by the Student Council!
