I’ve always had a good intuition about other people. Back in middle school, I was called the lie detector, as I could quickly figure out who was lying or not. But my intuition grew tremendously after I started puberty. Suddenly, I could hear what people were thinking about and even be able to share their senses. It was kind of annoying as even when I wasn’t trying to hear anything, I could still feel other people’s emotions.
Sighing, Tom fell down backward onto his bed. “Another day in this never-ending quarantine.” He rolled over and hugged his pillow, “Ahh I wish it would end already. A two-week break turned into a year of boredom.” Tom closed his eyes and went to sleep.
A headset was removed from my head. I blinked, and a person gradually formed in front of me.
“How was it? It’s pretty realistic isn’t it?” the person exclaimed.

“Hurry up, John.” Mark was looking back, waiting for me to catch up. We had gone hiking for an hour, and I was already starting to feel the beginnings of weariness. I jogged up to him and we started walking again.

As I walked into the testing room, the buzz of conversation stopped. Out of respect or fear, I cared not. I only wanted to get these rounds of tests out of the way.
