Through the month of September, Grade 9s have constantly been writing applications for school councils. With seven in total, (student council, art council, environmental council, french council, student athletic council, chaplaincy council, and social justice council ), there were a lot of applicants.

It was a buzz of excitement and nervousness on September 3, when hundreds of students stepped foot into school to start the new school year. Many are coming back, but for those new grade nines, fresh out of elementary school, it was a whole new experience. On the morning of September 3, it was a sea of green sweaters and white shirts, all at the front foyer looking for their names and homerooms on sheets of papers.

From September 20th to 21st, over 400 grade nine students went on an overnight orientation field trip to Camp Olympia in Huntsville, Ontario.

Despite the general consensus that high school grades should be an impartial indicator of a students’ academic ability, a recent release made by the University of Waterloo has invalidated such a misconception and once again brought the issue to light.

On February 4, 2019, the second semester of the 2018-2019 school year began at St. Robert. The day ran on a modified schedule, with the first half for exam review and the second half introducing students to their new classes.

On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, over sixty St. Robert students wrote the Canadian Computing Competition (CCC) after school. Taking place from 3 to 6 pm, the students writing the junior contest were in room 119, while the senior division was held in the library.
