Earth Week hosted by Environmental Council

On April 22, over 1 billion people worldwide celebrated Earth day. The St Robert Environmental Council organized “Earth week” as a fun way to raise awareness about the environment. Throughout the entire week, they posted about activities related to environmental topics on their Instagram.

Students were given a chance to win prizes if they participated in the various fun activists. Some prizes included a $15 gift card, a $10 gift card and an STR reusable water bottle! The Environmental Council also hosted a meeting where they talked about menstruation eco-friendly products. 

On their Instagram page, they posted information about turning off the lights, upcycling, gardening, and eco-technology. Along with each post, there was an activity that students were encouraged to do for a chance to be entered in a raffle to win a prize. The environmental council also posted frequent updates of a bean sprout growing on their Instagram story. Lastly, they ran an art challenge with two categories. The theme was “hidden beauties of nature.” The winner of each category won a $15 gift card.  Many students participated, learned, and had fun.
